Massachusetts is moving forward on a plan to reduce transportation emissions.  On April 30, 2019, the state convened an all-day workshop at the Boston Public Library to involve the public in the Transportation Climate Initiative, a 13-state effort to drive down greenhouse gas emissions through a market-based “cap” on emissions for the sector.

Commonwealth Magazine’s Baker Administration takes the lead on carbon pricing effort describes the plan, which would fund new transportation investment.  This regional effort complements the state efforts to put a price on carbon, encompassing both the transportation and the heating sectors.
